By aligning pipe manufacturing with drilling schedules, Rig Direct® has contributed to enhancing customer efficiency by reducing inventories and standardizing quality and reliability. Over time, this concept has evolved into a comprehensive, digitally integrated service model that boosts operational efficiency, lowers costs, and improves reliability and well integrity.
Over the years, Tenaris has developed new services, consistently guided by the vision of adding value to customer operations. From the launch of RunReady™, ensuring pipes arrive at the rig site ready to be run, to the consolidation of Tenaris’s WISer™ technical and digital solutions to support well integrity, the Rig Direct® service model has steadily expanded to address the needs of the industry.
Today, every solution within Rig Direct® includes a digital component, with most tools integrated under a single platform. This enables customers to benefit from real-time data, enhanced traceability and optimized coordination across operations.
To communicate this enhanced value proposition in a clear and simple way, Tenaris has introduced a new infographic that highlights how the company delivers value through the combination of digitally integrated, differentiated solutions, organized around two categories: supply chain integration and well integrity.
At the center of the infographic, interconnecting and enabling these solutions, are the Rig Direct® Portal and the PipeTracer® system, Tenaris’s proprietary identification technology that ensures full traceability of each pipe from the mill to the well. Supply chain services are supported by 24/7 customer assistance, while well integrity services are reinforced by the Remote Monitoring Center in Houston, Texas. The Rig Direct® Academy, Tenaris’s in-house rig located in Veracruz, Mexico, serves as a platform for testing technologies and delivering technical training to both customers and employees.
