The American Iron and Steel Institute has announced that Tenaris US President Luca Zanotti has joined its Board of Directors.
AISI serves as the voice of the American steel industry in the public policy arena and works to advance the case for steel in the marketplace as the preferred material of choice. Member companies include steel producing companies, including integrated and electric furnace steelmakers, and with suppliers to or customers of the steel industry as associate members.
“I am honored to join the AISI board and look forward to collaborating to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic manufacturing,” said Luca Zanotti, Tenaris US President. “This is a dynamic industry where we have invested significantly over the past 15 years in the States to better serve the market with safe, quality, sustainable steel products and services, and where partnerships such as ours with AISI will help drive further progress in our sector.”
TenarisBayCity joined AISI in 2018 following the 2017 unveiling of the company’s first greenfield project in the United States, a seamless manufacturing pipe mill located in Bay City, TX. The company has invested $11 billion since 2006 in the US to create the largest manufacturer of steel pipe in the United States.
