Tenaris will present its solutions for the most challenging operations in the Norwegian North Sea at ONS, the main oil and gas exhibition in Norway, August 26-29.
The company has been operating in Norway for almost 40 years, constantly investing to be closer to its customers and provide a wide range of solutions included in its Rig Direct® and One Line™ service models, designed to better serve OCTG and line pipe segments, respectively.
“Throughout these years, we have achieved remarkable milestones, such as the opening of a state-of-the-art service center in Tananger and the development of Dopeless® technology almost 20 years ago upon a specific request of a Norwegian customer. We have continued to invest in new technologies, such as the recent integration of Shawcor coating business , including its Orkanger facility, thus expanding our offering in pipe coatings with new in-house local capabilities, and growing our footprint in Norway from 20 employees to nearly 200,” says Tenaris Country Manager in Norway Christer Andersen.
In line with its commitment to the energy transition, Tenaris has also been participating in key CCS projects and hydrogen initiatives in Northern Europe, while expanding its THera™ portfolio for hydrogen applications and developing new pipeline materials with enhanced resistance to hydrogen embrittlement and corrosion caused by CO2 impurities.
“We continue to lead the market with high technology products and sustainable solutions. With our industrial presence and well-established supply chain, both locally and in Europe, we are very well positioned to support the Norwegian energy industry, contributing to the energy security of Europe and guaranteeing a reduced carbon footprint,” adds Andersen.
