Tenaris has awarded three scholarships to students in Saudi Arabia in the first edition of the Roberto Rocca Scholarships program in the Kingdom. The scholarships will enable Abdulaziz Aldossary, Mohammed Saad Alghamdi, and Ebba Alnemer to pursue their studies at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) in Dhahran, underscoring Tenaris's commitment to fostering local talent in Saudi Arabia.
The Roberto Rocca Scholarships program recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence and dedication to their education. By supporting students at the secondary, university and doctoral levels, Tenaris aims to create equal opportunities and contribute to the development of the communities where the company is present.
"Supporting the education of young Saudis is a key part of our commitment to the Kingdom. By investing in their education, our goal is to foster a skilled technical workforce in Saudi Arabia and empower the next generation of talent to contribute to the Kingdom's growth," said Renwar Berzinji, Tenaris president for operations in Saudi Arabia. This initiative is part of Tenaris's comprehensive plan in Saudi Arabia, where the company is dedicated to community development through educational, social, and environmental initiatives.
Other efforts include volunteering initiatives in the local communities, as well as the Roberto Rocca Technical Gene Program, which recently took the spotlight with the inauguration of the Tenaris Lab at the ITQAN Institute in Juaymah. The new facility, equipped with advanced machinery donated by Tenaris, offers students hands-on experience with specialized equipment, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
