A new office space at Tamsa, Tenaris’s industrial facility in Veracruz, Mexico, has been unveiled, advancing the company’s vision for a new way of working to create more collaborative, creative and flexible work environments across its global footprint.
The finishing area of the plant now houses employees from different industrial processes - heat treatment, premium threading lines, maintenance, quality and supply chain - under the same roof. The new building design is split across two floors and includes several conference rooms, private rooms, a nursing space, open work stations, recreational areas and outdoor space, among other amenities. The open-concept encourages collaboration, creativity and knowledge-sharing while providing autonomy for employees to manage their daily tasks.
The revamping project at the mill began more than two years ago with a first phase involving a new space for the maintenance team and an expansion of the tool shop. A second phase saw the demolition of the old building and construction of the new one, requiring careful planning due to the central location in the heart of the plant. In 2023, the plant’s rolling mill unveiled its upgraded office space.
"This represents a milestone for Tenaris’s plant Tamsa,” said Tenaris President for Mexico Sergio de la Maza. “Our goal is to provide our team with a comfortable, open work environment that is conducive to more meaningful interactions and enhances their overall well-being.”
Tenaris’s ongoing global redesign project is more than a physical upgrade and aims to improve the work environment for its employees through functionality and creativity in the revamped space, as it has carried out at across its commercial and industrial facilities in Argentina , Mexico , Romania , the UAE and the US.
