Tenaris Tuesdays at ANC: Raising awareness of industrial careers

Tenaris has partnered with the Arkansas Northeastern College (ANC) in Blytheville, Arkansas, for a pilot educational program designed for high school students enrolled at the community college.

The program, known as Tenaris Tuesdays at ANC, highlights the importance of education and training in fostering personal and professional growth. It also aims to raise awareness about the diverse opportunities available in the industrial sector.

"This partnership bridges the gap between education and industry by bringing Tenaris professionals directly into our classrooms to share their expertise and provide hands-on learning experiences,” says ANC Dean for Secondary Programs Michael Graham. “Students gain insight into real-world applications of their studies, a deeper understanding of Tenaris's innovative products, and the professional standards expected in today's workforce. This collaboration not only enhances their education but also prepares them for successful careers. We are grateful for Tenaris’s commitment to investing in the future of our students.”

The program, which concluded its fall semester in December 2024 and will resume in spring 2025, complements the technical coursework taken by over 300 high school students at ANC by focusing on soft skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and project management. Tenaris representatives from various areas lead monthly sessions featuring activities such as having teams compete by creating structures with limited supplies and required parameters as well as participation in Q&A panel sessions.

"Providing students with hands-on opportunities like these is a fantastic way to connect technical training with real-world applications. Encouraging critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork not only prepares them for dynamic industrial environments but also instills lifelong skills they can carry forward into any career. It is also an excellent opportunity for students to engage with our experts, learn more about our company, and gain insight into working in a dynamic industrial environment,” highlights Tenaris Operations VP Hernán Brondino.
