Swivel Joint

The Swivel Joint is a completion string connector with a dual metal to metal seal that gives complete freedom to align the upper part of the completion string to the lower one before the make up of the connection. More info on video and material below.

Blast Save

Evolution of the blast joint, designed to protect control lines from impacts and/or erosion generated by high pressure/high velocity wellbore fluids and particles, when the control lines are run aside of the production tubing, in front of the perforated wellbore area. Timed Accessories

Accessories having thread programmed angle deviation between both ends that allow to orient or align pieces in a string following a defined pattern.

Blast Joints

Section of heavy wall tubing placed across perforated intervals through where the tubing must pass. Used to mitigate the erosion from the jetting effect, extending the string's life.

Flow Couplings

Heavy wall completion component included as part of the tubing string and placed above and below accessories that due to their configuration cause turbulence and generate localized erosion on a reduced tubing portion.

Crossovers

Tubular accessories used to connect any two tubular sections involving more than one thread and/or diameter. These tubular sections can be casing, tubing, drill pipe or combinations of them.

Nipples

With both ends threaded with PIN configuration, these are used to join two pipes or accessories with BOX end configuration.

Pup Joints

Tubulars with the same characteristics of the related casing or tubing except for their length, that is fixed in order to adjust the length of the whole string to the exact requirements.

Marker Joints

Pup joints with a standard length of 20 ft. Its function is to provide fixed reference points in the string. As they are significantly shorter than other full length pieces they are easily noticeable on correlation logs.

Make-up Quills

Short tubular accessory used to connect the string of pipes to the Top Drive for drilling with casing or running operations.

Water Bushings

Short tubular accessories attached to the top of the drill pipe, connecting the string with the drilling mud system and allowing its circulation.

Handling/Lifting Plugs

PIN threaded steel plugs that allow to handle strings with integral connections while protecting end seals and threads.

Circulating Swages

Allows the circulation of fluids within the string (drilling mud, water, etc). They are used as a temporal link between the last pipe of the string and the equipment's high pressure line.

Drifts

Cylindrical mandrel used as a gauge to verify the pipe’s internal diameter through the entire length of a piece.

Testing Closures

Short threaded steel parts used during the internal pressure testing of threaded pieces to close one end of the string in order to detect leaks when hydraulically tested. These include autoclave fitting, o-rings and handle bars for optimum installation.

Swivel Joints & Blast Saves

Swivel Joints and Blast Saves are our widely recognized premium solutions for ensuring the best performance, endurance and quality in intelligent completion design. With dual metal-to-metal seals, they are available in a range of sizes, metallurgies and steel grades, and their upper and lower ends can be customized for many of our premium connections.

Our Swivel Joint premium connectors are designed to solve alignment problems during dual completion or intelligent completion installations. Furthermore, our Swivel Joints Torque Transmission (TT) can withstand torque in excess of the maximum make-up torque of premium connections.

Our Blast Saves are designed to protect control lines from impact or erosion generated by high pressure/high velocity wellbore fluids and particles, or when the control lines are run alongside the production tubing, in front of the perforated wellbore area. Every Blast Save module has ability to automatically align the longitudinal slots when making up the string, while reaching the optimum make-up torque value.
