Tenaris releases its first FDES declaration, driving sustainability in construction

Tenaris commercial pipes division has issued the FDES declaration (Fiche de Déclaration Environnementale et Sanitaire), which has been approved and certified by the French institution INIES.

“The approval of this declaration, aligned with French standards, underscores our dedication to sustainability and addresses the growing demand for transparency and environmental responsibility in the construction market,” emphasized Silvia Tosato, Tenaris Environment Regional Director.

The FDES, similar to the globally recognized Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), provides comprehensive information on the environmental and health impacts of products. This assessment, based on the NF EN 15804 standard and its French national supplement, includes a detailed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of products.

“Tenaris is strengthening its presence in the construction sector by combining quality, innovation, and environmental responsibility. By publishing our own declaration, we showcase our commitment to meeting the highest technical and environmental standards, providing more value to our customers,” said Luca Frecassetti, Sales Director of the Commercial Pipes division, specialized in products and services for civil and industrial installations.

The certified pipes adhere to a wide range of international standards, including EN, ASTM API, and are designed to deliver exceptional performance with a minimal environmental footprint.
